Today, our Christmas lights came in. I love Christmas lights. We’ve had white, colored, icicle, plain. Brightness in the dark, bringing the joy of the day into the gloom of the night.
2020 has pushed the limits of everyone. I believe in some form, we have all been touched by an air of depression. As hard as we try this year has been so heavy and trying. My suggestion, and what I have been doing, is take in this Christmas time during the day with all the obvious colors, symbols and decor.
To take this further, challenge yourself and look to the lights after dark. A light in the dark will shine. One at a time, they are still effective. But together, they pierce the darkness triumphantly. Like us, we alone can fight the dark, but together, we can be unstoppable.
Matthew 5:14-16 – You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
