All of the planning and anticipation of the holiday season build into a crescendo of Christmas greetings, frenzied package opening, and feasting throughout the day.
During this launch of my blog, I have spent some time wondering what to write about. Sometimes it comes to me easy, and other times it takes some thought. On this Christmas Eve, I almost always reflect on a piece I wrote in 2014.
This time of year “wants” and “needs” seem to blur. The question, “what do you want for Christmas?” Runs the gambit of nothing all the way to everything. “I want a ________.”
I don’t have a fireplace where I live now. I do miss them. To sit and watch the fire flicker, light dance, and flames warm around the room.
